Hello Everyone and welcome to my little explainer on how to be a cool kid too and have .sol, .ust and .eth domain names.
Why do you want one? You see that long winded unmemorable wallet address? Yes that 0xF5gi45hysedbwhelpmenfgsnid2xf you can attach a cute domain name to it and that’s what your wallet will be identified with.
When this is done, try sending some UST to temisan.ust let’s test out the efficacy of this technology. ENS did a thing over the last week and made a lot of people very rich. I cope from the outside but history must never repeat itself and leave me out of any potential juicy airdrops.
Solana
To get started, you will need a Solana compatible wallet. I personally use sollet.io but you can also use Phantom and then you connect your wallet to Bonfida naming service.
It’s not free so let me show you how to fund your sollet.
Withdraw at least 0.4 sol to your sollet
Trade sol to USDc on Raydium
Swap for at least $30 Usdc
Connect wallet to Bonfida
Click on register domain
Search for the domain name you want and if it is still available.
Sanji.sol is available while vinsmokesanji.sol is still up for auction
You can decide to bid higher if the name you want is still up for auction
The minimum bid you can set for a domain is 21USDc
It’s safe to bid 21.01USDc and wait for 7 days to claim your domain name
You now have a .sol

This is cheaper and relatively more straightforward than the solana process, you will need a native Terra wallet like this terra station chrome extension, or this to guide you the installation of the desktop app,they have a mobile application as well so you are spoiled for choice and convenience.
I know it should not have to be said again but please write your keys down in a secure location and avoid “emailing” yourself, you can get hacked and robbed.
The preferred app to fund your terra wallet with is Kucoin, if you are reading this from Nigeria where funding is stressful you can send USDT via the TRC-20 network from any centralized exchange where you have funds to your Kucoin wallet. Trade USDT for Luna via the spot market and then transfer the Luna via Terra network to your Terra station wallet.
There are funds in your terra wallet now the fun part.
Swap Luna for 16 $UST on Terra swap after connecting your wallet
Connect to Terra domain naming
Search for the availability of the name you want
Click on the searched name and request to register
Complete this transaction and you are the proud owner of a .ust domain name
To create a .near domain name, all you have to do is click this and follow the sign up prompts
You will need to fund your wallet with a minimum of 0.5 $Near token to enable this transaction to be completed.
Near can be gotten on CEXs like Binance, Okex and Gate.io and transferred to your native Near wallet.
Finish the signup process and try to explore the ecosystem, something may just excite you.
